A prominent Filipino businessman and public servant, known for transforming a family-owned trading business into a diversified corporate group and advocating for agricultural reform in the Philippine Congress. As a visionary leader, he has empowered our team to embrace change and withstand every challenge, molding the group into one of the most respected companies in the Philippines today.

His core philosophy: “Agriculture must be treated not only as a livelihood sector, but as a strategic industry requiring proper governance, investment discipline, and scientific support.”

By combining his background in real estate and retail with his work in agricultural legislation, Wilbert T. Lee continues to be a significant figure in the economic and social development of the Bicol region and the Philippines at large.

His ability to scale operations through innovation and strategic risk-taking:
Modernizing Goodluck Store, after graduating from the University of Santo Tomas in 1991, Lee took over the family-owned Goodluck Trading Company. In 1992, he aggressively expanded the business by acquiring adjacent spaces and negotiating long-term leases, transforming a small outlet into a large-scale department store.

LKY Development Corporation, he shifted from a sole proprietorship to a corporate vehicle for real estate. He pioneered the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model in Sorsogon, specifically through a landmark agreement with the Catholic Church to develop commercial buildings on church-owned land.

Fast Food Pioneer, despite market skepticism in 1997, he successfully introduced major franchises like Jollibee and Chowking to Sorsogon, which now dominate the local fast-food market.

His business acumen earned him the “Most Outstanding Sorsogueno Award” (1997) and the prestigious “Halyao Award” (2006) as Bicolano Businessman of the Year. He served as the President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) – Sorsogon Chapter, bridging the gap between private sector interests and public policy.

Political & Public Service Achievements
